Current Focus: I joined Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen in 2016. My commercial real estate focus has provided me with significant experience in virtually all types of estate transactions: leasing, financing, affordable housing and community development, and real estate acquisition and development.
I focus my practice on the structuring and negotiation of real estate projects that are eligible for affordable housing tax credits, and represent investors and syndicators in such transactions. I have counseled syndicators and equity investors in connection with direct, secondary and portfolio investments for the development, financing and investment in multifamily housing projects with multi-tiered debt and equity structures, and have significant experience with various federal, state and local loan and grant programs utilized for the rehabilitation or new construction of multi-family housing, including housing for families, the elderly, the homeless and individuals with special needs. I regularly speak on issues relating to investment in affordable housing.
