PRACTICE:

Kelli Harsch focuses her real estate practice on affordable housing development and finance.  She previously worked as Staff Counsel at Business and Professional People for the Public Interest where she provided legal and policy assistance to municipalities and community groups related to creating, preserving, and rehabilitating affordable housing.  Her work included developing inclusionary zoning and affordable housing trust fund ordinances, assisting municipal lawyers in analyzing the legality of affordable housing reforms, and educating elected officials and community groups through presentations and appearances at public meetings.  She also represented Chicago public housing residents in the Gautreaux litigation as counsel for the plaintiff class.  As part of her representation, she served on working groups created to oversee three HOPE VI Chicago Housing Authority redevelopment sites–ABLA, Robert Taylor Homes, and Cabrini-Green.

RELEVANT ACTIVITIES:

Kelli is a member of the American Bar Association, including its Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development.
