My Role
I joined Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen in 2021 and serve as a Project Assistant. I provide assistance in completing a number of critical data management and administrative/organizational tasks.
My Background
Prior to joining Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen, I developed strong research and organizational skills through nonprofit and community support spaces. I interned with the Chicago Appleseed Center for Fair Courts. My work involved researching bond processes in immigration courts, as well as consolidating and organizing a database of community organizations for Chicago Appleseed to use for outreach and distribution of resources. Through my internship with the Office of the Lt. Governor, I conducted research on rural students’ access to college application information and presented policy recommendations based on my research. In addition, I have worked at the University of Chicago as the Undergraduate Assistant for the College Center for Research and Fellowships. I have also worked as a Research Assistant at the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice, assisting in the development of a database on municipal IDs.
My Passion in Life
I enjoy crocheting and watching movies, and listening to podcasts.
