My Role
I joined Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen in 2020 as a Project Assistant for the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit practice group. My responsibilities include assisting in numerous administrative tasks and completing critical data management.
My Background
Prior to joining Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen, I developed strong organizational and management skills through working at nonprofits and community support spaces. I interned at the Civic Federation in Chicago, primarily researching Illinois economic policies and drafting communication materials, and interned at GirlForward in Chicago where I researched immigration law and maintained fundraising efforts. In addition, my time as an undergraduate strengthened my passion for advocacy and provided me with various professional development experiences. This included managing communications for the University of Illinois’ scholarship office and leading workshops at the university’s Women’s Resources Center to further gender-based violence education on the campus.
My Passion in Life
In my spare time, I enjoy listening to podcasts, reading and writing poetry, and watching documentaries.
