Matthew M. McKay
Matt joined Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen in 2017. He focuses his practice on the tax structuring and negotiation of real estate projects that are eligible for federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and New Markets Tax Credits, and he represents investors, developers, syndicators, and community development entities in such transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Matt was an associate in the tax transactions and consulting group at Mayer Brown LLP, where he represented and advised clients on a broad range of tax planning matters, including tax issues regarding mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, tax-free reorganizations and spin-offs, real estate investment trusts, partnership transactions, and not-for-profit organizations.
