My Role
I joined Applegate in July 2023 as a Project Assistant.
My Background
During my college experience I engaged in non-profit work which reaffirmed my desire to pursue a career that is grounded in the values of community and equity. I interned with A Just Harvest where I conducted extensive research on urban agriculture and more generally, environmental justice. I also took part in several community meetings regarding the development of a vacant lot into a mixed-use affordable housing complex and public green space, which AJH wanted to help create. Additionally, I served as Co-founder and Co-President of Lumi Tutors, an organization through Northwestern University that organized and trained Northwestern students as tutors and paired them with CPS students to provide SAT and college readiness mentorship. Lumi operated as a solution to the learning loss that was exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and sought to turn online learning into a positive experience. I’m looking forward to bringing a solution and community-oriented mindset to the legal industry through Applegate.
My Passion in Life
Outside of work I love spending time with friends or calling family. Some of my hobbies are crocheting, listening to music, and reading!
