Commitment to Clients and Communities
I joined Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen in 2026. I focus my real estate practice on affordable housing finance and development. I represent developers in residential transactions across the country and advise on complex financing structures, including low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt and taxable bonds, state-issued tax credits, public and private grants, soft debt, and commercial debt.
Career Overview
Immediately prior to joining the firm, I served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago Department of Law. I worked closely with various City departments, including the Departments of Finance, Housing, and Planning & Development, to issue bonds and structure loans and grants for projects involving the construction of public improvements, rehabilitation of vacant and blighted buildings, construction of affordable housing projects, and the expansion of industrial and commercial businesses.
Prior to representing the City of Chicago, I worked at Davis Polk & Wardwell as an Associate Attorney in the Capital Markets group and at Morgan Lewis & Bockius as an Associate Attorney in the Structured Finance group.
