Commitment to Clients and Community
I receive the greatest satisfaction at the firm knowing that our work results in community development and the creation of affordable housing for individuals and families across the country.
Career Overview
Current Focus: I joined Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen in 2019 and lead the firm’s Developer Group. My practice focuses on representing developers and investors in low income housing tax credit and affordable housing transactions.
Highlights: I advise clients on low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonding financing, state tax credits, HUD financing, and various federal, state, and local subsidies. Prior to joining Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen, I represented the Illinois Housing Development Authority in all types of affordable housing financing including bond issuances, state and federal low-income housing tax credits, construction and permanent mortgage loans and grants resulting in the creation and preservation of affordable housing across the state of Illinois. Guided by a mission-driven approach, I enjoy seeing how affordable housing positively impacts individuals and families. I am dedicated to helping clients create and preserve affordable housing and community development in their communities.
