Commitment to Clients and Communities

I receive the greatest satisfaction from working on projects that strengthen communities of all sizes. Growing up in rural Vermont, where my parents worked as public servants in local government and education, I witnessed firsthand the power that thoughtful housing and business development can have in bringing together a community and in building resilience in the face of natural disasters and climate change. It is a privilege to begin my legal career at Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen and to use the skills I built in law school to help our clients expand housing access and economic opportunity for those who need it most in their communities across the country.

Career Overview

Current Focus: At ATT, I support developers, investors, and lenders on affordable housing and community development projects. I joined the firm in 2025 after spending both of my law school summers with ATT as a summer associate. Prior to joining the firm, I represented community-centered organizations in the Detroit area on business structuring issues and indigent tenants in eviction disputes as a student attorney in law school clinics. Before law school, I coordinated a housing program for adults with developmental disabilities at a nonprofit organization, worked on housing and disability discrimination issues as a civil rights specialist at a U.S. Attorney’s Office, and was a Fulbright scholar in Malaysia.

Highlights: Awarded an Excellence in Pro Bono Service Award at Michigan Law for helping incarcerated individuals with serious medical conditions apply for sentence commutations.
